Living with a Life-Changing Illness (weekly from January 7 - February 25, 2026)

The goal over the next 8 weeks is to have learned, practiced, and implemented 7 new skills, to better equip us to navigate and self-advocate through our individual illness journeys. The ideal participant is one diagnosed with a life-changing illness, or be a caregiver for a person with the same.

Hope for the Best and Plan for the Rest – is a concept developed by Dr. Sammy Winemaker and Dr. Hsien Seow, with the help of the ‘Waiting Room Revolution”. After years of sharing their message, on how to take a driving seat in your own care, they put everything together in a book for us to use locally, to help others to learn these 7 wonderful skills.


Their book, “Hope for the Best, Plan for the Rest”, is the resource that will be followed over the next 8 weeks of this program. Every participant will receive a copy of the accompanying workbook "Applying the 7 Key to Navigating a Life-Changing Diagnosis", as well as engaging education and discussion sessions.
